My Old Blue Car
There's a junkyard over in Kansas
Cut between the bluffs and trees
You can't see it from the highway
but it's where my old blue car lays
I thought my baby and me would maybe go there
And remember all the good times that we had
And drink some wine and toast the memory of
That old blue car's runnin' days
But it's probably stripped down to the bone
The seat where we once kissed is probably gone
It's probably full of dirt and mud
So maybe I'll just buy it back
And maybe build me a junkyard
Where cars can lay in peace and tranquility
Where folks can come and recall memories
Their old blue car's running days
