Bugs and Critters: Lyrics
(under construction)
Mr. Spider
Mr. Spider in your web
Catching bugs all day long
I hope you're happy
Sitting in your web
Catching bugs all day long
Just as long as you don't
Crawl over me at night
Stay in your web catching bugs
And everything will be all right
Mr. Spider sitting in your web
Catching bugs and flies all day long
I hope you're happy sitting in your web
Catching bugs and flies all day long

Goodbye Little Spider
Little Spider moved away
from the web he spun
Took his bug, and said OK,
I've simply had enough.
Then I built my web I thought
there wouldn't be a fan
Blowing on me all day long
So I'll hit the road again
Good bye little spider
Good bye little spider

Old MacDonald’s Farm Living in a Shoe
Old MacDonald had a farm
And on his farm he had a cow
And on his farm he had …..
He didn’t know what to do
Living in his shoe
With all his animals
So he put them outside
Were they could stay for awhile
While he built another room
Made from another shoe
Then let them back inside
Old MacDonald had a farm
And on his farm he had a dolphin
And on his farm he had a beluga whale
And on his farm he had a seal
He didn’t know what to do
When it rained all day
And it rained all night
And carried them away
To the land of nod
Up on a great big hill
Where a great big bird
Became their friend
And this big bird would bring them noodles
And this big bird would bring them ice cream
And this big bird would bring them pizza
Until they all got sick of noodles
And they got tired of ice cream
And they got tired of pizza
So they got in their shoes
And the beluga whale
And the dolphin too
Got in the sea of blue
And tugged their shoe
From the land of nod
Ore’ the sea of blue
Back to their home
Where Old MacDonald had a farm
And on his farm he had a cow
And on his farm he had some chickens
And on his farm he had a goat
Living in his shoes
Living in his shoes
Living in his shoes

Parfinagled Spring Pudding
I like to eat my eggs with blue mashed potatoes
I like my collared greens with red rutabagas
Floating around inside a bowl of green gravy
It’s my recipe for spring pudding
I like to eat my eggs with blue mashed potatoes
I like my spinach leaves with yellow tomatoes
Floating around inside a bowl of whirling peas
It’s my parfinagled recipe
Add a dash of turnip leaves when served for two
Sprinkle in some parsnip and it’s English stew
I like to eat my eggs with blue mashed potatoes
I like my spinach leaves with yellow tomatoes
Floating around inside a bowl of lima beans
It’s my recipe for whipped whirled peas
Sprinkle in some turnip greens and serve for two
Add some escargo and make it Francious soc me blue
I like to eat my peas with red rutabagas
I like my pudding with a touch of tomatoes
Floating around inside a bowl of English tea
It’s my parfinagled recipe

The Happy Ants
One by one we march along
From our ant colony
Looking for some food to take
Back to our families
Now I’m so proud to be an ant
That’s what I do the best
But there’s one thing that I would like
To get off my chest
If you see us marching oh so happily
Remember that we are
Nature’s way of cleaning
And so I ask you kindly
As you pass me by
Please don’t step on me
And squish me like a fly
‘Cause one by one we march along
From our ant colony
Looking for some food to take
Back to our families
Happy ants are we
Happy ants are we

The Wombat and the Chicken Toad
Watch out for the Wombat and the Chicken Toad
Or one day they just might get you
Fire ants and killer bumble bees
Got nothing on these guys
They are a dynamic duo
Once I was out walking
On a forest pathway
When they jumped in front of me
The Wombat started barking
And then the toad was croaking
It was so awful I plead
Watch out for the Wombat and the Chicken Toad
Or one day they just might get you
Fire Ants and killer bumble bees
Got nothing on these guys
They are a dynamic duo

The Bug Song
Little mouse won't you get out of my house go away
Little box elder bug won't you come out from underneath my rug please leave
Well I really do like you guys please don't get me wrong
There's just not room for all of us so please get along
Little fly won't you fly up in the sky high away
Little ant won't you get out of my pant-ry today
Well you know that this is not the end
Don't let me see you cry
I'm really gonna miss you guys
And that's no lie
Little tick you make my doggie sick please get off
Little mosquito won't you get off of my burrito I don't want to eat you
Well I'm sorry it had to end this way you guys are really fun
I just wish you would go away
And dry up in the sun

My yourgest brother Chad wrote this back when he was in Jr.High/High School, I think it
was, after learning some jazz chords and this progression from my brother Dwight. It can be
found on "Bugs and Critters".
Leo the Little Green Lizard
Leo's a Happy Lizard even though he has no gizzard
Leo the little green lizard
Sitting in his tree by the window all day long
Watching the world go by
He doesn't eat bugs or flies
'Cause Leo's made out of rubber
Leo's a happy Lizard
Even though he has no gizzard
Leo the little green lizard
Sitting in his tree by the window all day long
Watching the world go by
He doesn't eat bugs or flies
'Cause Leo's made out of rubber
I first saw little Leo lying in the road one day
He might have been squished by a car or two
And so I picked him up and took him home with me
So if he could Leo would say he's
Leo's a happy lizard even though he has no gizzard
Sitting on his tree by the window all day long
Watching the world go by
He doesn't need to eat bugs or flies
'Cause Leo's made out of rubber
He's Leo the little green lizard

"Leo the Little Green Lizard" is from "Bugs and Critters".
It's pretty much a true story about how I was riding my bike to work one day and saw what I thought was a squished
or dead lizard in the road. I was gonna ignore it and keep on my way to work- being a little late, but was curious
whether it was really a real lizard or not so waited for the light and went back and picked him up and took him
home. He was a little beat up but I took him home and put him in the branches of my plant by a window that you can
see a picture of in the album graphics for "Bugs and Critters". I'm not sure where Leo is right now- he's probably
some where around the apartment though. He got knocked off one day and then some how misplaced. Maybe Kitty
made off with him- I'm not sure.
Indian Summer’s Lullaby
Go to sleep little one
Have sweet dreams tonight
You'll be alright in Indian Summer's
softly singing lullaby
Sandman sighs
with the wind
whispering the leaves
Fall with the sun
to winter's slumber
Softly calling memories
Close your eyes and go to sleep
Have sweet dreams tonight
Close your eyes and go to sleep
and I'll turn out the lights
Go to sleep little one
have sweet dreams tonight,
You'll be alright in Indian Summer's
softly singing lullaby
